Why We Love It:
‘Sunset Strain’ Lewisia delivers some of the brightest color you can add to a rock garden. Its succulent evergreen rosettes stay attractive year-round, while the vivid flowers bloom over an exceptionally long season in glowing sunset shades. Tough, compact, and surprisingly drought tolerant once established, it thrives in rocky, sharply drained soils where many traditional perennials struggle. Whether tucked into a crevice wall, alpine trough, or container, it brings a bold splash of color and texture to small spaces.

Additional Info:
Prefers gritty, fast-draining soils and should never sit wet, especially during winter. Afternoon shade is beneficial in hotter climates to help protect foliage and prolong flowering. Removing spent flower stalks encourages additional blooms through the season. Excellent for alpine gardens, troughs, containers, and specialized rock garden plantings.
