Why We Love It:
Pale purple coneflower brings a softer, more natural look to the garden than many traditional coneflowers. Its gently drooping petals and prominent orange cones create graceful movement in prairie-style plantings, while its toughness allows it to thrive in heat, drought, clay, and rocky soils. It blends beautifully with grasses and native perennials, supporting pollinators through summer and songbirds later in the season when seedheads are left standing.
Additional Info:
Highly adaptable and easy to grow in sunny landscapes with good drainage. Deer resistant, drought tolerant, and low maintenance once established. Leaving spent flower heads through winter provides seasonal texture and an important food source for birds. Divide mature clumps every few years to maintain vigor and encourage continued flowering.
