Why We Love It:
This uncommon alpine perennial forms a dense blue-gray cushion of narrow silvery foliage that looks beautifully sculpted among stone and gravel. Adapted to harsh mountain conditions, it thrives in dry sunny sites where drainage is excellent and moisture remains limited. Its refined texture and delicate pink blooms bring subtle detail and seasonal interest to alpine gardens without overwhelming surrounding plants.

Additional Info:
Native to limestone mountain regions of southern Greece and best suited to sharply drained alpine or crevice-style plantings. Requires gritty soils and should be protected from excessive winter moisture. Rare and collectible, it performs especially well in trough gardens, scree plantings, and detailed rock garden settings where its compact form can be appreciated up close.
